Aircraft Mix

More pics submitted by Mike Stedman. Aegean Aviations Learjet 55 SX-BNS visited in July 1997 & is now registered N5572. Former National Aviation Co. Dash 7 SU-MAC passed through for maintenance in January 1998, the aircraft was scrapped in 2002. Seen here in 1993 prior to delivery to Sonmez Airlines of Turkey is Shorts 360 TC-AOA, the aircraft was previously G-BLRT with Guernsey Airlines (the blue one). Fokker F27 Friendship TC-MBA belonging to Turkish Carrier MNG Airlines was often seen operating the paper/mail flights during 2006. This machine was previously with Channel Express as G-CEXE. Beech F90 King Air TC-NML visited in December 1996, the aircraft is still active in the USA as N96KK. TT-BAO Piper Pa32 Chieftan visited in 1998 & is to the best of the photographers knowledge the only Chad registered aircraft to visit. One time regular visitor to the island was Hawker Siddeley 125-300 VR-BKY which went on to become VP-BKY & N42AS. Sept 1989. Eagle Airways Falcon 900B VR-BHJ was a resident during the mid 90’s, one member of this group hitched a lift to Oz I seem to recall..

Two clippings from an old scrap book of mine that I was doing back in 1968 when I was eleven. HB-VAX caused quite a stir as jets, especially foreign registered jets, were so rare at Guernsey Airport back then !
