 Dakota G-AMSW


G-AMSW Douglas C-47 Dakota 4 operated by Derby Airways is seen here August 1961.
This aircraft sadly crashed into Mount Canigou near Perpignan on 7 October 1961,
with the loss of 34 lives. © Colin Smith


The same aircraft came to grief at Guernsey a few years earlier as this press cutting shows - in those days there was a North-South runway as well as an East-West.  Submitted by Michael Patch
