 Hawker Siddeley HS.125
Pic - George Ozanne

G-AVGW Hawker Siddeley HS.125 Series 3B was owned by the Beecham Group & operated by Autair International & is seen here at Guernsey/GCI in 1967. During a training from Luton Airport in 1968 various exercises were flown which were to be concluded with a simulated engine failure on take-off, followed by an asymmetric approach and single engined landing. The aircraft climbed to around 300 feet before it descended and crashed onto the roof of the Vauxhall Motors factory, about half a mile west from the end of Lutons runway 26. Both occupants were killed.
