Tragedy Strikes..
On this day Tuesday 12th Jan 1999.
Tragedy as 2 pilots were killed when the Paper Plane that had been diverted earlier in the day due to bad weather, left Luton at 16:14. As it approached Guernsey Airport the aircraft lost control at 17:06, attaining a nose-high attitude probably due to the aircraft being operated outside the load and balance limitations. The plane stalled, clipped a house on Forest Road with its left wing & ploughed into a field short of the runway only a hundred yards or so away from Forest Road Garage.
